Attorney Gigi Park handles a broad range of cases within the areas of criminal defense and immigration. She has defended the accused in charges of driving while impaired, domestic violence, drug offenses, traffic offenses and various other misdemeanors and felonies. Her immigration practice is primarily concentrated in family petitions for residency, applications for naturalization, adjustment of status, work permits, petitions for immigration bonds and removal defense. She frequently defends immigrants who have been accused of a crime and are being held on an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detainer. Gigi is also fluent in Spanish.
Gigi earned her Juris Doctor from Campbell Law School in 2009, concentrating in advocacy. During law school, she gained significant exposure to a wide variety of criminal and civil legal matters interning for different law firms in Wake County. She also investigated wrongful conviction claims for the Campbell Law School Innocence Project, serving as a case manager her second year and president her final year. She was a writer and content editor for the Campbell Law Observer, and actively participated in Women in Law and Phi Alpha Delta legal fraternity. Gigi’s law school accolades include the Pro Bono Publico Award, the Book Award in Eighth Amendment Death Penalty Litigation, and the NC State Bar Pro Bono Service Award.
A native of Clayton, North Carolina, Gigi now enjoys living in Raleigh. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in 2002 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with a major in Psychology and a minor in Spanish. Gigi has lived abroad in Spain, Costa Rica, and Mexico and has a great love and appreciation for Latin culture, music, and cuisine.
Gigi is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, North Carolina Advocates for Justice, American Bar Association, American Immigration Lawyers Association, and Wake County Academy of Criminal Trial Lawyers. She also serves on the Board of Directors of Wake County’s Chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union of North Carolina.
